Ramona Vinson, age 85, passed away on Feb. 6, 2024.

Ramona was such a loving and caring lady, who raised Monique Barela and Mandi Barela as her own children.

She loved planting flowers, drinking coffee and watching her western shows. She also loved going to yard sales.

Ramona was preceded in death by her parents, Luis and Erenea Barela; son, Armando Barela; sister, Viola Otero; brothers, Mike (Selico) Barela, David Barela, Ephriam Saul, Joaquin, Manuel and Camillo Barela; as well as her loving husband, Frank Vinson .

She is survived by her two children, Vicky Vinson and Lucia Kelly Gonzalez, and her children, Tierra Baca, Frank Vinson, Estevan Gabriella and Flor Gonzalez; great-granddaughter, Yessenia Cleofas Gonzalez; and many more loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and sister, Belinda Giron.

Services were held Tuesday, Feb. 27, at Calvary Chapel Rio Grande Valley in Belen.
