Robert Arnold Gurney Jr., age 77, a resident of Rio Communities, passed away on Oct. 20, 2024.

There are no services scheduled at this time.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Dianne Anderson Gurney; children, Robert Anderson Gurney and Melissa Catherine Johns; grandchildren, Whitney Hawkins and Devyn Johns; brothers, Rex and Marshall Gurney; and sisters, Jolene Parsons and Janelle Arana.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Gurney Sr. and Lora Francis Springer; and sister, Kathy Gurney.

He was a member of Rio Grande Valley Church of Christ and U.S.N., which he retired from after 25 years of service.
