Ruthie went peacefully home surrounded by her loving family at age 73.

She was a lifetime resident of Los Lunas where she met and married her first and only love, Clyde Mireles. They celebrated 56 years of marriage April 8, 2023.

Ruthie and Clyde built their home in Los Lunas raising their four loving daughters, Michele Flores (Miguel), Valerie Mireles (Ronald Richardson), Evangeline Carrejo, and Lynette Willliams (Jay); grandchildren, Edwina Ferguson, Derek Sanchez, Rachel Sanchez, Joseph Mireles, Brittany Gordon (Jesse), Erica Olguin (Nick), Ricky Carrejo, Tracy Carrejo, Epie Lucero (Chastity),Izaiah and Noah Williams; great grandchildren, Khloe Fegurson, Bridget Sanchez, Kristian Gurule, baby Gordon, Ethan and Jeriko Olguin, Divinity and Julian Lucero.

Ruthie loved spending time with her family, especially all of her grandchildren. She loved bingo, embroidery, dancing, cooking, and watching WWE wrestling with her husband. Ruthie’s primary focus was being a loving mother, wife, grandmother, and friend.

She enjoyed a passionate career in the health care industry for many years.

Ruthie is preceded in death by her parents, Santos and Ruth Saavedra of Los Lunas, and her in-laws, Pedro and Celsa Mireles of Los Lunas.

Ruthie is survived by her siblings, Viola Abeyta (Santos), Bertha Sanchez (Joe), Rita Ramos, Louis Saavedra (Lala), Marcella Lopez, Felix Saavedra (Lillian), brother and sisters-in-law, Rosalina Blea (Billy) (D), Viola Otero (Manuel) (D), Arturo Mireles (D), Ramon Mireles (D), Jeanette Villegas, Erla Gallegos (Louis) (D) and Precilla Ponce.

A private burial will be held at a later date for the immediate family. We would like to thank the staff at Presbyterian Hospital for the compassion and care provided in the Critical Care Cardiac Unit.

Clyde and family are grateful to everyone for the love, kind words, and prayers during this very difficult time.
