Tamra L. Paup, age 56, a resident of Rio Communities, passed away at home on Sunday, June 16, 2024.
Born Jan. 12, 1968, in Colorado Springs, Colo. She was the daughter of Edward Paup and Carol Brooks Paup.
Tammy was the epitome of a fighter. Although she faced much adversity throughout her life, she persevered and did so with a smile on her face. When she was told she couldn’t do something, she said, “watch me.”
She loved, laughed and cherished every moment with her family and friends. We all know, dynamite comes in small packages.
Tammy was preceded in death by her father, Edward Paup.
She is survived by her mother, Carol Brooks Paup, of Rio Communities; two sisters, Jennifer Seyforth and husband, Carlton, of Santa Clarita, Calif., and Wendy Paup-Lefferts and husband, Kelley, of Pasco, Wash.; three nephews, Hunter Seyforth and wife, Karen, of Waltham, Mass., Chase Seyforth, of Huntington Beach, Calif., and Edward Paup-Lefferts of Pasco, Wash.; two nieces, Madison Seyforth, of Santa Clarita, Calif., and Naomi Paup-Lefferts, of Pasco, Wash.; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 3, at the First United Methodist Church of Belen, 75 Manzano Expressway, Rio Communities, with a lunch to follow.
The church is accepting donations in Tammy’s memory to go to the “NOW Project,” which was near and dear to Tammy’s heart. NOW Project, Nutrition on Weekends, provides bags of nutritional food to local elementary school families in need. Checks can be made to the First UMC Belen.
