Tillie M. Gutierrez

Tillie M. Gutierrez, age 93, a resident of Belen, went to her heavenly home on Dec. 12, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

Services will take place at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church on Thursday, Dec. 19, beginning with a visitation at 9 a.m., a Rosary at 10 a.m., with a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Belen Memorial Gardens.

She is survived by her granddaughters, Janelle Otero (Andrew), Terri Chavez (Dean), Roxanne Fernandez (Ralph) and Candice Gutierrez; great-grandchildren, who loved her deeply, brothers, Richard “Dickie” and Percy Montoya; and niece, Michelle Aragon (Steve).

Tillie is preceded in death by her parents, Juan and Vivian Padilla Montoya; only son, Stanley Gutierrez; grandson, Fermin Gutierrez; granddaughter, Monica Montoya; sister, Irene Montoya; and nephews, Matthew and Michael Montoya.

She was a pillar of faith and a woman of unwavering strength. Tillie loved the Lord Jesus with her whole heart, mind and soul. She was a lifelong member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church and was a member of the Sacred Heart League and Catholic Daughters. Tillie was a beloved mom, sister and grandmother.

She was a selfless and loving woman who did everything for her family.

“Surely all the goodness and love has followed her and she is now in the house of the Lord forever” Psalm 23:6.

Pallbearers will be “Her Boys,” Andrew Otero, Brandon Carrejo, AJ Romero, Arthur “Tudy” Fernandez, Koty Luna, and Arik Montoya. Honoree pallbearers will be Andrew Otero, Dean Chavez and Ralph Fernandez.
