On Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2022, Troy Rachau, a talented drummer, loving husband and father passed away at the age of 62.
Troy was born in La Grande, Ore., on April 13, 1960, to parents, William “Bill” and Marilyn (Powell) Rachau. He graduated from La Grande High School in 1978, attending Eastern Oregon University for a short time before ultimately hitting the road to pursue his life’s passion — music.

From there, Troy continued to follow his musical dreams. In 2007, his music brought him to New Mexico, where he met his love, Roberta “Bobbi” Montoya with whom he spent his last 15 years in happiness.
Troy was proceeded in death by his father, Bill; his mother, Marilyn; and his brother, Todd.
He is survived by his wife, Bobbi; his three daughters, Melissa, Keea and Darbi; stepson, Bob; and seven grandchildren.
