Helpful teenagers
Editor:
I had a blowout at about 1500 hours on Tuesday, April 30, on Reinken Avenue.
I was about to call AAA when two young men came to my window and asked if I needed help. They said, “Why pay AAA when we can do it.”
They informed me there would be no charge. Their names were Christopher Mascone and Ethan Spillers sophomore and junior at Valencia High School.
They worked hard to change the tire and replace the other. They were gracious in their refusal of any gratuity they were offered.
I had to inform their parents about the wonderful young men they were raising and what a credit the boys were to them.
I tried reaching the principal of VHS to commend the young men, but so far have been unsuccessful.
I am 89 years old and could not bend for any length of time to do the task myself. I would like to highly commend Christopher and Ethan for their community mindedness.
