Questionable postcard
Editor:
The other day, I received a postcard in the mail about the new Interstate 25 interchange and east/west corridor project (in Los Lunas).
The two photos on the postcard look great, but the question is: what is going to develop between those two photos? Will it be a continuation of strip development that already exists along N.M. 6, or will it be built out following the Paseo Del Norte example in Albuquerque?
For $147 million, I would hope we would get a transportation corridor, not a taxpayer-funded project to enrich a few in our community that have bought land along proposed and needed infrastructure upgrade.
That’s the big question: Are our elected officials working for us or for the moneyed few?
