Letters to the Editor

A lot of kindness hiding in our community

Editor:

My name is Vicki Godfrey. Lately, I have become allergic to my medicine and have been down physically.

I called Tomé Todo for some food because I literally could not stand or serve myself food.

A young lady named Rosu took my order. I told her some of my problem fixing myself food. She took the order, was the kindest and so I waited for my food to be delivered to my home.

A young man delivered my food. He was sweet and kind and, out of the blue, he handed me a card and flowers in a glass. A beautiful white carnation, yellow rose and a red rose with a card, saying, “ I hope this food, flowers and card help you feel better.”

I started to cry! Who does that for people? Not anyone I know. How do you repay a stranger for their kindness?

I ask of the people of Valencia County to support this restaurant. Buy their food. It is and was so delicious.

Kindness is so hard to come by and we take so many for granted. My heart is beyond grateful for Rosu and her family’s kindness.

Just in case you thought kindness in the world has disappeared, God shows us differently. God bless our country and all the people who live in it.

Vicki Godfrey
