Three members of the Belen wrestling team won titles Jan. 9 at the Crown the Queen tournament in Gallup. Pictured from left to right are Emma Perez, Olyvia Sanchez and Linsey Sanchez, who were presented a crown, sash, flowers and a medal after winning individual championships. The Eagles finished second in the 16 team field, behind host Miyamura. Los Lunas was eighth. Chris Perea, BHS coach, said the tournament showed how big girls wrestling is becoming in New Mexico.
