Lisette Sanchez, of Belen High School, recorded her best time of the season recently in the 3200 meters.

In one of the most exciting events of the day, Belen’s Lisette Sanchez was just edged out at the tape in the 3200 meters at the prestigious Marilyn Sepulveda Meet of Champions in Albuquerque on April 11.

Sanchez was runner-up to defending champion Dani Figueroa of Albuquerque High, less than a half a second behind at 11:56:11. It was the best time of the season for Sanchez.
