Jones has signed to swim at Adams State University in Alamosa, Colo., where his brother, Joshua, currently competes. “It’s a huge moment, probably one of the biggest, most pivotal moments in my life,” said Jones, a recently- graduated senior at BHS. “I’m really excited. I feel like I’m making the right decision.”

Jones, who finished fourth in the 4A 100 breaststroke at the 2024 NMAA State Swimming Championship, is looking forward to competing alongside Joshua, who graduated as a Tiger from Los Lunas High School.

“I think it’s going to be really fun,” he said.

Jones will study biology at ASU with plans to attend medical school to become a psychiatrist.
