LOS LUNAS — Los Lunas two-sport standout Kaiden Reese has signed to play baseball at Eastern New Mexico University in Portales.

“It felt like family,” Reese said of his recruiting visit. “Good program, good players.”

The Greyhounds will use Reese as a pitcher.

“They told me they liked how I could spin the ball, get some (velocity) and also that I’m a lefty,” said Reese, who led the Tigers with seven victories last season, helping LLHS to the 5A semifinals.

Reese, who played quarterback for the Tigers’ football team, considered pursuing a career on the gridiron but injuries last season narrowed his focus to the baseball diamond.

Academically, Reese will study business at ENMU.
