The Valencia County 4-H Shooting Sports Rifle team won the small bore division at the State 4-H Shooting Sports Championships.
The event was held in May at the NRA Whittington Center in Raton.
Members of the winning team, which qualified for the National Championship, which started June 22, in Grand Island, Neb., include Cohen Ahner, high point individual; Tesa Fernandez, Kaylee Higginbotham and Nathan Higginbotham.
Valencia County 4-H shooters also placed third and fourth in team air rifle.
Individually, Ahner took first place in the Smallbore Rifle division. Rifle and pistol matches consisted of both target and silhouette events.
