Historic Tomé-Adelino association to meet

The Historic Tomé-Adelino Neighborhood Association will hold their March meeting on Sunday, March 17, at 5 p.m. at the Tomé Adelino Fire Station. The public is welcome to attend. The topic of the wastewater treatment plant and the Tomé Camposanto is up for discussion.

Oratorical contest scheduled for Saturday

“If I Could Change the World” is the topic sixth, seventh and eighth-grade students will be addressing in the Belen Breakfast Optimist’s oratorical contest essays.

Ten finalisst will present their thoughts on the subject at the local competition at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, March 16, at the Masonic Hall in Belen. The winner will advance to district competition. The public is invited to attend
